SAP PP Manufacturing – Senior Consultant

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Consultant specializing in SAP Production Planning (PP) within manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP PP solutions in S/4HANA. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and shop floor operations to ensure smooth production execution and operational efficiency.

Role Overview

As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering end-to-end SAP Production Planning (PP) implementations and enhancements in S/4HANA environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production workflows, configure SAP modules to meet business needs, and provide post-implementation support for continuous improvement. This role demands strong analytical skills, business acumen, and a deep understanding of discrete and process manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP PP module implementation, including requirement gathering, system design, configuration, and deployment.

• Configure production master data including BOMs, routings, work centers, and production versions.

• Define and execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and capacity planning strategies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including MM, SD, and QM to deliver end-to-end integrated manufacturing solutions.

• Support manufacturing execution by managing shop floor control and production order processing.

• Provide technical expertise in production scheduling, cost planning, and reporting.

• Participate in testing, documentation, and end-user training activities.

• Ensure system compliance with manufacturing standards and business requirements.

• Provide post-go-live support and continuous process optimization for production operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP PP module within manufacturing industries.

• In-depth understanding of production planning, shop floor management, and capacity scheduling.

• Experience in S/4HANA environment, including PP configuration and integration with MM, SD, and QM modules.

• Expertise in MRP, demand management, and production order management.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders to achieve operational goals.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage manufacturing transformation initiatives.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience in SAP Private Cloud implementations.

• Knowledge of Advanced Planning tools such as SAP APO or IBP.

• Understanding of production execution systems (MES) and digital manufacturing integration.

• Experience in discrete or process manufacturing industries (e.g., automotive, consumer goods, or pharmaceuticals).

Certifications & Preferred Tools

• SAP Certified Consultant (Preferred)
• Tools: SAP S/4HANA, MRP, Production Scheduling Board, Fiori Apps.
