Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Azure Database Developer to work closely with our client, supporting enterprise data modernization initiatives. The consultant must be onshore and available to travel to Chicago for project meetings and collaborative workshops.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Azure SQL Databases, Synapse, Data Lakes, and related cloud data components.

• Build and optimize stored procedures, ETL pipelines, and data workflows.

• Integrate DB solutions with Azure Data Factory and other Azure analytics services.

• Improve database performance, indexing strategies, and query tuning.

• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and business teams to gather and refine requirements.

• Ensure security, compliance, and adherence to cloud best practices.

Required Skills

• 6+ years in database development and SQL programming.

• Strong hands-on experience with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Data Lake Gen2.

• Expertise in T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and performance tuning.

• Experience with data modeling, schema design, and ETL development.

• Understanding of Azure DevOps pipelines is an advantage.

• Excellent communication and ability to work with onshore stakeholders.
